Perfect Health: The Chopra Center Ayuvedic Lifestyle Program  

In some form or another, we all seek Perfect Health—physically and emotionally.

Chopra Center co-founder and medical director, David Simon, M.D., has designed a beautiful five-lesson course for achieving equilibrium of the mind and the body. When our bodies and minds are in balance we can make nourishing choices, achieve the healing, and experience the change we seek.                                                                                                                                                 

How will the Perfect Health Course  affect my life?

Today, doctors are increasingly citing stress as a major contributing factor to most illnesses.  Our bodies and minds react to it by shifting out of balance, which ultimately creates physical challenges and emotional turbulence that impact our lives at home, at work, and at play. In time, we can find ourselves in toxic relationships and non-nourishing patterns of eating, sleeping, and digestion.

The Perfect Health program will help you identify the imbalances in your life, teach you how to correct them, and help you develop a nurturing daily routine. Most importantly, as you learn to manage your stress, your mind and body begin to function with maximum effectiveness, creating health, vitality and happiness. 

The Perfect Health Lifestyle Program teaches students an individualized  regimen of Ayurvedic practices and techniques designed to help you:  

                                   Manage the effects of stress and restore balance to the mind-body

                                   Enhance nutrition & maximize digestion

           Reduce emotional turbulence

           Improve sleep patterns

           Create a state of optimal health in body, mind and soul

 The program is taught in a series of 5 sessions as follows:

Session 1:   Body, Mind, and Soul:  The Multidimensional Nature of Life

You will learn the basic concepts of Ayurveda, how to meditate and yoga poses as well as the three Body-mind personalities, Vata, Pitta and Kapha.  

Session 2:   Nourishment for Body, Mind, and Soul:  Food as Medicine

You will learn about foods that are most nourishing for your body- mind type and how to use them to create optimal health and weight.  

Session 3:   Perpetual Renewal:  Detoxification, Purification and Rejuvenation

You will learn techniques that will eliminate toxins and rejuvenate you, as well as create a daily routine that is balancing.  

Session 4:  Emotional Freedom:  Intimacy with Your Self

You will learn how Conscious Communication can help to relieve your emotional toxicities and improve your relationships.  

Session 5:   The Five Gateways to The Inner Pharmacy:  Metabolizing Sensory Experience

You will learn how to access your body’s own inner pharmacy to heal, nourish, and bring balance to your mind, body and soul.
